ATLANTA, GA. (UnderGRAMMY) Developed to pay homage to the many independent artists throughout metro Atlanta, the 2005 UnderGRAMMYS are a unique hybrid of the Video Music Awards (VMA's) and the Grammys.

The 2005 UnderGRAMMY Awards Show will be held on February 19, 2005 beginning at 9PM at The Abbey, located at 163 Ponce De Leon Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA. The night will be filled with celebrity hosts and presenters such as, soul singer extraordinaire, Joi, So- So Def recording artist Bonecrusher, model/actress Ki-Toi Johnson, BET's Melyssa Ford, and championship boxer Vernon Forrest, just to name a few.

Various award categories will include, Rookie of the Year (Male & Female), Song of the Year, Spoken Word of the Year, and Promoter of the Year. So-So Def and Rumblefish will give coveted gifts, and Earwax Records will create a special section for all nominees.

Organized Rhyme, spearheaded by Haziq Ali, has been in existence for three years and specializes in urban marketing in the form of talent showcases, event planning, recording assistance for the underground segment of Atlanta, Georgia.
