NEW YORK (AP) - Kid Rock has been spending some quality time lately with a certain "Double G" and we're not talking about girlfriend Pamela Anderson and her infamous assets. The Bullgod and Snoop Dogg appear on each other's upcoming albums, Snoop said Monday before his New York City stop on the Puff, Puff Pass Tour.

Rock wrote and produced "Save the Drama for Your Mama" for Snoop's album, due early next year.

"Kid Rock is a fool with it," Snoop said. "That's one thing about me, I'm not egotistical. If somebody has some good material, and it fits the situation or scenario, I don't have to write everything I say or be in control of the project I'm on. I would like to have that input, but sometimes other people can create something for you that's better than what you can create for yourself, because they're on the outside looking in."

Snoop didn't reveal any details about his appearance on Rock's album, which Rock's spokesperson at Atlantic Records said is due November 20. The spokesperson was hush regarding specifics of Rock's proper follow-up to 1998's Devil Without a Cause, which is likely to feature other guests.

Rock told the Detroit Free Press in April that Eminem, Sheryl Crow and Atlantic Records head Ahmet Ertegun will be on the record. He also said he and his Twisted Brown Trucker Band had jammed in the studio with Hank Williams Jr., Bob Seger and saxophonist Alto Reed.
The album was recorded at the Clarkston Chophouse in Rock's hometown of Detroit and mixed at the Mix Room in Burbank, California.

Rock met Anderson at the "VH1 Divas Live" tribute to Aretha Franklin earlier this year, where he asked the former "Baywatch" beauty to appear in a "hot car, hot girl" homage video for a song called "American Beauty," he told the Free Press. Atlantic would not comment on the song. After releasing the retrospective The History of Rock in early 2000, Rock has spent much of his time writing and recording with other artists. So far this year, he has appeared on records by Run-D.M.C., Willie Nelson, the Butthole Surfers and Busta Rhymes, along with a Sun Records tribute and the soundtrack to "Osmosis Jones" (see). Kid Rock also debuted a new song, "If I Was President," with ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons at MTV's 20th birthday celebration in August (see). Meanwhile, Snoop has been busy collaborating with artists such as Tha Eastsidaz and Nate Dogg and recording music for the soundtracks to "The Wash" and his soon-to-be-released star project, "Bones" (see). The laid-back rapper said Monday he has completed "95 percent" of his still-untitled next album
