Feed Them To The Forest Announce 'Can't Forget' EP Out 7th April 2018
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) York based band Feed Them To The Forest are delighted to announce their debut EP 'Can't Forget' will be released on 7th April 2018.
To celebrate the news the band are streaming a brand-new single 'Lie With The Dogs' produced and mastered by a dream team combo of Dave Boothroyd at Reel Recording Studio (Deaf Havana / Blink 182) and Alan Douches at West West Side Music (The Wonder Years, Alkaline Trio, Every Time I Die).

Explaining the thoughts behind the song, vocalist Elliot Partridge said: "This song is about how you often don't realise your actions can affect other people until it comes backon you. That the way you behave and the things you do in your life can not only have a negative effect on other people, but also yourself as it can also affect how people see you, and what they think of you - you can't always pass the blame, and at some point you have to take responsibility for who you are - and that it is only yourself that can do anything to change that".

Influenced by the emotionally charged sound of the late 90's Long Island punk rock scene, the band bring the genre up to date with a drilled-in focus on hooks, harmonies and weaving dual vocal interplay. 'Can't Forget' is the band's first substantial release since singles 'Black Canary' and 'Six Seasons and a Movie' both released in 2016 and intends to be somewhat of a mission statement for the York band.

Commenting on the EP, Elliot explains: "We wanted to go for broke with this EP. It's our first 'proper' release, so we decided to bring in the big guns with Dave and Alan, who had between them worked with so many of our favourite bands. It paid off and our jaws practically hit the floor when we had our first listen back. It was everything we hoped for and more".

Explaining the lyrical aspect of 'Can't Forget', Elliot said: "The overriding theme is a personal/introspective one. Whilst the individual tracks touch on slightly different topics, they're tied together by feelings of holding onto the past due to fear of the future / 'the great unknown'. Across the five songs, the lyrics touch on anger, jealousy, denial and misery, albeit with an undercurrent of acceptance and, eventually, hope. When we were going back through the lyrics for the release we realised that 'Can't Forget' cropped up a couple of times across the songs and it just seemed to fit perfectly with what we were trying to say".

Having already shared stages with the likes of Apologies, I Have None, Ducking Punches, Lacey, Amongst Thieves, Autumn Ruin and more, the York-based band continue their momentum with a string of live shows in the coming months, with details of a record release party also promised.

27/01 - York, Fulford Arms
20/02 - Leeds, The Key Club (with Dreamstate)
09/03 - Leeds, Santiagos
23/04 - York, Fulford Arms (with Apologies, I Have None & The Bennies)
