Brazilian Instrumental Music With Jazz Influence At SXSW
New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Banda Silibrina) South By Southwest (SXSW) in 2018 will have Brazilian rhythm. Silibrina was one of the bands from Brazil selected to perform at the event, which is one of the largest music festivals in the world.

SXSW Music Festival will take place in Austin, Texas, in the USA, from March 12-18. The festival, which started in 1987, is considered to be one of the most important music, technology and creative economy events in the world.

The band's tour will include other shows in Austin, a spot on the channel CongaHeadStudios, and a show on Nublu, one of the largest jazz performing venues in New York.

About Silibrina
With jazz and pop influences, and Brazilian musical rhythms such as frevo, maracatu and baiao, the Brazilian band Silibrina put out its first album this year called O Raio.

Piano, bass, guitar and brass instruments combine with the percussion instruments that are so prevalent in popular Brazilian music, such as the caracaxa, ganza, timbal, alfaia, gongue and the pandeiro. The result leads audiences to appreciate Brazilian music in a way that is as elegant as it is electrifying.

Pianist Gabriel Nobrega - who signs the septet's compositions and arrangements - is accompanied by Ricardinho Paraiso on the bass, Jabes Felipe on drums, Matheus Prado on percussion, Wagner Barbosa on the saxophone, Natan Oliveira on the trumpet and Gileno Foinquinos on the guitar. The musicians, who come from different training backgrounds and various regions of Brazil, are extremely active in the Brazilian music scene.
