New York, NY (Top40 Charts) This winter, Portland, OR's Fruition released Watching It All Fall Apart, their new album from LoHi Records. The band continues to add tour dates across the US in support of the record. Watching It All Fall Apart came to life with the same kinetic urgency found in Fruition's live sound. "It's kind of an impossible task, this idea of transmuting the live energy into something you can play on your stereo, but I feel like this record comes close to that," says Kellen Asebroek.
To achieve that sound, Fruition teamed up with acclaimed producer Tucker Martine
(My Morning Jacket, The Decemberists, Modest Mouse), who at the time just wrapped up recording the new
First Aid Kit album. "Tucker helped us push ourselves to create something that glistens in subtle little ways that you might not even pick up on at first," says Asebroek. "We got to play around with all this analog gear and these weird old keyboards we wouldn't ordinarily use, like a bunch of kids in a toy store where everything is free." The end result being "their most focused and sonically exciting full-length to date." (All Music)
This spring, they'll be bringing their "stadium-worthy energy" around the country. Having just completed a run of January and February dates, the band has been highlighted by Westword, Kansas City Star, LEO Weekly, Cincinnati Enquirer, Top40-Charts.com, The Times Free Press, and The Nashville Scene who say to "be prepared for a more boisterous presentation this time around" as they tour in support of the new album.
