New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Coming off a whirlwind weekend at the 2018 JUNO Awards in Vancouver where she gave a number of buzzed-about performances, acclaimed Canadian rocker Terra Lightfoot has announced that she will be following up an upcoming Australian tour by joining power-pop icons The Posies on the road in May and June as support on their newest North American tour.

In celebration of their 30th anniversary, the legendary Northwest rockers are embarking on a massive run of full-on electric touring of North America and Europe, featuring the 1992-1994 lineup behind the power pop classic Frosting on the Beater: core members Jon Auer and Ken Stringfellow, plus bassist Dave Fox and drummer Mike Musburger. Lightfoot will support the band on six weeks of North American dates. Tickets go on sale as of Friday March 30. Links through theposies.net/tour and terralightfoot.com/tour-dates.

With her latest album New Mistakes (Sonic Unyon), Canada's Terra Lightfoot offers up something rare: the kind of genuine document that can only come from a road-tested breed of songwriter and performer. Shot through with the guitarist-vocalist's powerful, bluesy soul, vivid lyrics and ferocious six-string virtuosity, it's an unforgettable outing, one that earned her a 2018 JUNO Award nomination for Adult Alternative Album of the Year.
Since the album's release in October 2017, Lightfoot has played more than 70 live dates as part of a four-continent tour of high-energy concerts across the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia and the United Kingdom. Full run of upcoming tour dates follows.

PRAISE FOR TERRA LIGHTFOOT:
"Canada's Terra Lightfoot has a huge voice and a big and gutsy guitar tone to match. The powerful double-barreled musical attack makes her latest album simultaneously alluring and exciting. It's packed with dynamics and moods, and it traverses styles from southern and classic rock to ambient to blues to echoes of Marc Bolan and T. Rex" - Guitar Player

"If you haven't seen Terra Lightfoot perform live, then do yerself a favour and get a ticket next time she's in town. Lightfoot is the total package: she can write a hooky tune, rip through a blistering guitar solo and sing the hell out of any song she likes." - CBC Music

"New Mistakes is Lightfoot's most accomplished music yet" - PopMatters

"Perfectly suited for stadium-sized crowds to sing along to… without sacrificing the nuance or creativity that were hallmarks of her prior albums" - Exclaim!

"Lightfoot crafts ballads and barnburners that hearken back to the past, delivered with fresh energy" - BUST

"Ms. Lightfoot's voice is a dominant as ever, straddling Memphis soul and urban blues with ease, and boy… can she write a song" - No Depression

"['Paradise"] stakes the singer-songwriter's claim as one of today's brightest emerging rock artists" - Twangville

"A bold, authentic album… musical brilliance on a scale that doesn't occur very frequently... pure quality, from beginning to end" - Maverick Magazine
