LONDON, UK (AP) - A man is being held over alleged death threats sent to Spice Girl Melanie Chisolm, police have confirmed. Singer Mel C, 27, received a cassette tape at her London home last week containing the alleged threats, the Mirror reported on Friday. A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "A man has been arrested in the Netherlands by Dutch authorities. "He remains in custody in connection with an incident involving a woman from the Camden Borough area." Threatening letters Dutch authorities had arrested the man at the request of the Metropolitan Police, said Scotland Yard. Mel C started to receive threatening and sexually explicit letters last year, according to the Mirror. Besides being a member of the Spice girls, Mel C has had a successful solo career. Her first solo single was actually a duet with Canadian singer Bryan Adams, When You're Gone, a number three hit in 1998. She also duetted with Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes on Never Be The Same Again, which reached number one in 2000. The singer recently shared the microphone with classical tenor Russell Watson, recording a version of Bohemian Rhapsody for Watson's forthcoming album Encore.
