Filoli Announces 2018 Summer Jazz Series Lineup
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Filoli today announced a one-of-a-kind lineup for its 2018 Jazz Series, featuring highly-acclaimed and legendary jazz musicians from the likes of Quincy Jones Presents Justin Kauflin to Tuck & Patti.

Filoli's annual Jazz Series has been showcasing world-renowned jazz masters and top talent since 1990. This year, in honor of its 28th consecutive season, Filoli is introducing a must-see lineup of musicians for its six Sunday afternoon jazz concerts. The series will kick off with Quincy Jones Presents Justin Kauflin on Sunday, June 17th and will take place on select Sundays through September 16th, with showtimes from 1:30PM to 4:00PM.

For each concert, guests are invited to enjoy an afternoon of live outdoor music underneath the historic estate's remarkable oak trees on the Woodland Garden Court with complimentary snacks and refreshing beverages. Concert attendees also have the option to order a boxed lunch in advance, bring their own picnic lunch, or visit the Quail's Nest Cafe for take-away items the day of the concert.

June 17 - Quincy Jones Presents Justin Kauflin - Justin Kauflin is a talented musician who, after losing his eyesight at age 11, quickly gravitated towards learning how to play jazz piano. Within 4 years, he was performing professionally at jazz festivals and concerts across the United States. In 2013, Justin was signed by legendary producer and music icon, Quincy Jones, for management, and after joining Quincy's roster of artists, Kauflin was part of Jones' 2013-2014 world tour, which travelled throughout Switzerland, France, Korea, Tokyo and Japan.

With years of work and dedication, Kauflin has become a piano extraordinaire and undeniable rare talent. Kauflin currently plays at international jazz clubs, festivals and just finished touring across Europe and the United States. He is working on a new album, which is scheduled to be released in fall 2018.

July 8 - Jazz Mafia "Miles & Mingus Reenvisioned" - Jazz Mafia is a 6-piece modern jazz, groove-based, acoustic / electric band, led by Adam Theis. Band members include Henry Hung (trumpet), Eva Scow (violin, mandolin, guitar), Adam Theis (trombone, bass), Raffi Garabedian (bari sax), Coin Hogan (keys, accordion) and Darian Gray (drums).

Adam Theis and his Jazz Mafia have been performing for the last decade, playing musical tributes to legends like Duke Ellington and Prince. Adam recently combined two musician groups to form Miles & Mingus Reenvisioned.

July 22 - Josh Nelson Quintet Featuring Kathleen Grace - Born and raised in Southern California, pianist / composer / bandleader Josh Nelson has performed with some of the most respected names in jazz, including Kurt Elling, John Pizzarelli and Benny Golson.

Nelson toured with legendary vocalist Natalie Cole for six years and continues to tour with vocalists Gaby Moreno, Freda Payne, Sara Gazarek, accordionist Richard Galliano, saxophonist Tom Scott, multi-instrumentalist Miguel Atwood-Ferguson and violinist Christian Howes.

August 5 - Henry Solomon Quartet Featuring Roy McCurdy - Born and raised in Woodside, CA, Henry Solomon is a 22-year-old saxophonist and composer living in Los Angeles. Henry started playing the piano at the age of 6 and saxophone at the age of 12. Henry has been on 3 international tours, performing across Japan, China and Canada, and also at the 2013 and 2014 Grammy Awards, The Monterey Jazz Festival, The Montreal Jazz Festival, and a number of jazz clubs in New York and Los Angeles.

August 19 - Tuck & Patti - Tuck & Patti is a unique, one-of-a-kind genre-crossing vocal / guitar jazz duo who has played worldwide for 40 years. Married for 37 years, the pair complements each other with their singing and guitar musical talent. Patti is famous for her gospel singing while Tuck is renowned for his complex and beautiful guitar work.

September 16 - Pacific Mambo Orchestra - A 2014 Grammy Winner, the Pacific Mambo Orchestra (a.k.a. The PMO) is a 20-piece, San Francisco-based musical group known for its Latin big band sound. The PMO incorporates traditions of the classic mambo-craze orchestras of the 1950s to deliver original music as well as clever, modern twists of hit songs. The PMO is currently the only fully active Latin big band on the West Coast and is comprised of musicians who perform in both English and Spanish. Together, band members and contributors bring forth decades of collective experience playing with a variety of musical greats, from Dizzy Gillespie, Carlos Santana, Herbie Hancock and Tito Puente to Art Garfunkel, Blood Sweat and Tears, Jerry Garcia and Mariah Carey.
