Music News team will be out on the streets of Brighton and across the TGE venues, soaking up the atmosphere, chatting to artists and picking up all the latest news across the thought-provoking topics at the convention and reporting on what's hot and what's not.
For the first time, BBC
Music Introducing will take the four bands it's showcasing at The Great Escape on a UK tour which ends on stage at The Biggest Weekend.
After the Great Escape, the tour will split into two legs and visit several grassroots venues across the UK. One leg of the tour will feature Mahalia and AlicaƬ Harley who will play Sheffield (Monday 21 May, Leadmill), Oxford (Tuesday 22May, Bullingdon) and Newcastle (Wednesday 23 May, The Cluny) and Ten Tonnes and ONR will play Leeds (Monday 21 May, Headrow House), Bristol (Tuesday 22 May, Fiddlers) and Reading (Wednesday 23 May, Purple Turtle). Each night will feature support from a new local artist working in conjunction with Local BBC
