New York, NY (Top40 Charts) "The vibration of the bowl will put you in a meditative state... It teaches you patience."
Popular actress and inspirational figure, Taraji P. Henson, recently appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" where she demonstrated the use of Tibetan singing bowls for meditation. Singing bowls have become widespread in recent years, for their versatile and beneficial use in meditation, music, relaxation, and personal well-being. Silent Mind, the #1 retailer of Tibetan singing bowls on Amazon, has shared and commented on the clip which can be seen on "The Tonight Show's" official YouTube channel.

"The thing is a lot of people think when you meditate you have to "ommm" and burn candles," explained Taraji P. Henson on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." "And that's one way to do it. But a meditative state is just allowing your thoughts to run through until you quiet your mind. You can do that just sitting in the chair looking off into the abyss."

About Tibetan singing bowls specifically, Henson added, "The vibration of the bowl will put you in a meditative state... It teaches you patience."

"It's wonderful how Taraji demystifies meditation," says Richard Pol, founder of Silent Mind. "Ultimately, it's not a magical, religious or woo-woo activity but is a scientifically-measurable, physical effect on the workings of the brain. I love how someone as cool and well-respected as Taraji P. Henson can help explain that to people."

Pol himself discovered meditation while suffering from debilitating anxiety and depression, and finding no relief through typical Western Medicine means. He discovered Tibetan singing bowls as he gradually searched for new tools to deepen his meditation practice. After purchasing one with terrible sound quality, Richard was led to his new career in producing and marketing them.

Taraji P. Henson was nominated for an Oscar with her performance in 2008's "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," has received three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress on the ongoing series "Empire" and the TV movie "Taken from Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story;" and she won a 2015 Golden Globe for her work on "Empire." She is also the first African-American woman to ever win a Critics' Choice Television Award for "Best Actress in a Drama Series." She was named among Time Magazine's "100 Most Influential People in the World" for 2016, and has written a New York Times best-selling autobiography titled Around the Way Girl.
