New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The queens were all in attendance for the 2018 Met Gala last night (May 7), and among the catalog of powerful females in attendance were
Nicki Minaj and Madonna. "Madonna and I have a secret coming soon," Minaj told "GMA," while standing next to Madge on the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume
Institute Benefit Gala.
It's unclear what that secret might be. Some speculate that it could very well be another collaboration, seeing as they previously worked together on "Bitch I'm Madonna" and "Give Me All Your Luvin'."
Madge and Minaj have even more history together. They performed at the controversial 2012 Super Bowl, which also featured LMFAO, M.I.A., and CeeLo Green.
That same year, Nicki explained Madonna's influence during an interview with Ryan Seacrest. "Meeting
Madonna changed my life," she said. "Working with
Madonna changed my life. Rehearsing with
Madonna for two weeks changed my life. When you look at these amazing women, you have to realize that a lot of work goes into this."
She went on to compare Madonna's influence to that of Lil Wayne's in her life. "It inspired me so much, the same way Wayne inspired me to start really becoming a beast as a rapper," she added. "The
Madonna situation inspired me to give it my all and put that work in."
Yesterday, Minaj also announced that her next album, Queen, will arrive on June 15.
