NEW YORK (Artemis Records) - At the 47th annual Grammy Awards ceremony last night, Artemis recording artist Steve Earle won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Folk Album for THE REVOLUTION STARTS...NOW. Earle has been nominated several times in the past, but this is his first win.

Steve Earle's career as a recording artist spans 25 years. He is the guiding light for alternative country and rock with his ambitious blend of music combining the attitude of outlaw country, the sheer power of heartland rock populism and the well-crafted lyrical commitment of America's greatest singer/songwriters.

THE REVOLUTION STARTS...NOW has received rave reviews from the press. Rolling Stone gave the album 4 stars and called it "one of the year's best albums". Stephen King, in his column for Entertainment Weekly, stated "Earle is one of the best songwriters currently working the American pop-music scene".

Earle has had a hectic schedule of late. He is currently in the midst of a North American tour. In addition, he just appeared on The Late, Late Show With Craig Ferguson, performing the title track from his Grammy-award-winning album. The new single and corresponding video for "Rich Man's War", directed by Jonathan Demme, has just been added to MTV2 and CMT.
