Two Sides Of Ralph: Ralph Covert Of Ralph's World And The Bad Examples Plan Summer Tour
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) There are commercial artists who dabble in kids albums, and well-loved kids musicians who play well in the sandbox of family friendly music, but few musicians are able to move back and forth comfortably between the two musical worlds as well as Chicago based, Grammy nominated artist Ralph Covert. A career that has spanned decades, crossed continents, and met with commercial and critical success in multiple genres is still going strong with a busy summer tour and the upcoming release of a new album, Talking to the Time. For updated details about these summer shows, visit https://www.ralphsworld.com/shows.html.

There are indeed two sides of Ralph. Ralph's World continues to win awards and critical acclaim for its quality of songwriting and production that set it apart from much of the rest of the genre. Meanwhile, Ralph's music both solo and with The Bad Examples provides an ongoing musical home for the kids and parents who age out of the world of dinosaurs and teddy bears. As the Los Angeles Times puts it, "Covert blends smart lyrics with instrumental arrangements that appeal to music lovers of all ages."

The latest Ralph Covert release, Talking to the Time, out this August, is a reflective and tuneful meditation on the journey of life, featuring songs crafted with the deftness of Paul McCartney, the emotional immediacy of Elliott Smith, and the production surprises of Beck. Ralph's jam-packed summer 2018 touring schedule will offer many chances to see all of the sides of his musical output - more than 70 performances - from solo library shows to full-band concerts at some of the biggest music festivals in the country. He will perform solo, with Ralph's World, and with The Bad Examples.

Along with dozens of free solo shows that are scheduled at public libraries around the Midwest, the Ralph's World band will also perform at the Brookfield Zoo (July 15), the FoxTales Storytelling Festival (July 31) and Music Matters Summer Fest (August 11) near Chicago, along with two shows in Wisconsin: Bayshore Town Center near Milwaukee (July 14) and Music by the Lake at George Williams College of Aurora University near Lake Geneva, (July 29). The summer tour winds down in September at the Pilgrimage Music and Culture Festival near Nashville, and October at the Austin City Limits Musical Festival in Austin, Texas.

Ralph's solo shows for grownups feature the August 12 album release show for his new album at S.P.A.C.E in Evanston, Illinois, as well as performances with artists including Matthew Sweet and Adam Levy. The Bad Examples concert highlights include two shows that illustrate how deep the connection is between the two sides of Ralph - headlining at the Music Matters Summer Fest along with Ralph's World, and performing at the Bayshore Town Center near Milwaukee (August 16), a month after the Ralph's World show at the same venue.
