New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Proving that talent has no bounds; North West London singer/songwriter Amy Steele returns with her second release "
Long Way Home". This sultry pop number is taken from her upcoming debut EP "Memories in Watercolour" due for release later in the year.
'Long Way Home' is a track that effortlessly creates a haunting ambience that allows listeners to really hone in on what the track tries to depict.
Speaking on the track Amy states: "Long Way Home, is about that feeling you get when you know you're about to part from someone after spending an evening out together. When you want to prolong your time together, but knowing the further you go the sooner you will have to part. The slightly haunting feeling that a goodbye is definite and imminent but also a celebration of your connection and time together."
Steele's previous release 'Graces' saw the songstress perform live on BBC
Radio London and the record managed to amass over 2 million plays on Spotify and Youtube including various remixes such as; Hodge Bristol (Electronic), Icicle (DnB), Journeyman (House) and Embody (Electronic).
'Memories in Watercolour' is an 8-track reflective EP which takes listeners on a journey through something we can all relate to - relationships. Each track on the EP is a different memory or colour, that has been slightly degraded. This project has been a yearlong process with Amy working with producers from the likes of Alex Wells (Rizzle Kicks) who helped her create music that not only connects with listeners but also reflects on her artistry.
'Long Way Home' comes with a DnB remix from Rockwell, who is heralded by the likes of Billboard, Fact Magazine, Resident Advisor, Mixmag and DJ Mag and with releases on some of the biggest labels in the game including Metalheadz, Ministry Of Sound, Sony Music, Critical, Neosignal, Shogun Audio and many more. The collaboration of Amy's distinctive vocal and Rockwell's painstaking construction, creates a beautiful arrangement with seemingly effortless ingenuity
