Almost every show is free and curated specifically for the neighborhood it's presented in. Throughout July, can't miss shows from hip hop and R&B artists like Ginuwine, Joey Bada$$, Young M.A., The LOX, Federation Sound and more will be hitting stages across the city.

Melanie Fiona as she performs her songs of love and loss for NYC. Not only has she collaborated with some of the most well known artists in hip-hop, but she has received 2 Grammy's for her abilities. She will be joined by Queen's native DJ mOma, the party performer who will be sure to get you up and dancing with his upbeat mixes.

Kranium, the hottest up-and-comer in the NY dancehall scene, will be performer in NYC this July. His song "Nobody Has to Know" was a recent smash-hit. He will be joined at this performance duo Federation Sound, known for their collaborations with
Shaggy and Sean Paul. The stage will also be shared by expert spinner DJ Polish, who is sure to thrill.

Long Island's own EPMD have been an influence on the hip-hop scene for years. Their clever wordplay and ingenious sampling set them apart from other MC duos, and they are sure to put on an energetic showing for SummerStage! They will be joined at their performance by DJ Sylk, a Queen's native whose name is known from Sound Factory to China Club, where he has become a mainstay.

Joey Bada$$ & Pro Era Present: 4th Annual Steez Day
Central Park is thrilled to be hosting the 4th Annual Steez Day this year. The celebration takes place in celebration of Capital STEEZ, who's music and life influenced hip-hop in a tremendous number of ways. The commemoration of the hip-hop icon will be spearheaded by rapper Pro Era and Joey Bada$$. Their performances will pay tribute to the influence Capital STEEZ has had on the hip-hop scene.

Jungle Brothers put together a hip-hop collective known as Native Tongues in the late 80s, including names such as
Queen Latifah and De La Soul. Now, years later, the
Jungle Brothers are back to continue to influence the hip-hop scene and shape it into something new. They are joined at their SummerStage performance by Kool DJ Red Alert, one of the most revered tastemakers in hip-hop. Newcomers DJ KOOL Flash and MC O.C. will also make an appearance, making this night the place to be for anyone who has ever loved hip-hop.

Ginuwine / The Ladies of Pink Diamonds / DJ Stacks
Ginuwine, the R&B genius behind the smash hit "Pony", is a force to reckoned with. An actor, singer, and songwriter, he was one of the driving forces behind the 1990's R&B explosion. He will be joined at SummerStage by The Ladies of Pink Diamond; whose mission is to build up young women through "theatrical step" and set them up to be leaders within their community. Staten Island's DJ Stacks, whose residencies at Tao & 1oak have made him a highly desired performer, will also perform.

The Bronx-born producer, DJ, and artist Pete Rock is synonymous with hip-hop. Since the early '90s, the Grammy winner has worked with the likes of Slum Village, Kanye West, Nas, Jay Z, and countless others. But in Central Park, he'll be doing something a little different (though no less illuminating): He'll be performing a special set with the Soul Brothers, an ensemble of some of the best and brightest who's whos of jazz. He'll be joined by the fast-rising soul star
Hannah Williams, whose work inspired Jay-Z's 4:44.

Young M.A / Special Guest DJ Funk Flex
Hip-hop's songwriting and production trio The LOX, comprised of Jadakiss,
Styles P, and Sheek Louch, were heavy-hitters in the 90s. Working with the likes of Mariah Carrey and Mary J. Blige, they have greatly shaped the hip-hop world. Now they're back for a performance with MC Young M.A. a Brooklyn native and rising star. Her talent is sure to impress and make her a well-known hip-hop performer.
