New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Described by NPR
Music as joyous folk-pop, Kuinka "laces modern folk and Americana with an electronic jolt, waltzing along the grooved edges of dream-pop, synth-pop, and Brooklyn's mid-aughts guitar-rock revival" (Vanyaland). Summer Nights at the Osher Marin JCC is thrilled to bring Kuinka's genre-defying music featuring several different lead singers, four-part harmony, and eclectic instrumentation including cello, banjo, synthesizers, ukulele and electronic percussion to the series.
For all of their sonic experimentation, the Seattle quartet's songs and live shows are linked by an infectious energy that remains present in everything they do.
The evening opens with the
Rainbow Girls. Their performances highlight their rich harmonies, ageless songwriting, and soulful, bluesy sound in its rawest form. The
Rainbow Girls will also join in with Kuinka as this evening of music progresses!
Bring a picnic or appetite, as well as friends and family. Dinners are available for purchase on site from Farm Burger Marin and the Kid Zone with hands-on fun will be hosted by the O'Hanlon Center for the Arts. Kids 17 & under are FREE, no tickets needed.
