James Barker Band, The Reklaws) the video was shot on location at Jade's family farm in Bailieboro, ON and features Toronto model
Marina Paquin. The "Got Your Name On It" music video premiered exclusively on July 6 with US based blog Wide Open Country. Watch the video below.
On the video, director Ben Knechtel said: "Working with Jade was a really fun experience. He is as authentic as they come - a true farm boy in the best sense. Upon arriving on set, I discovered that Jade was the first one there, dressed as if he was up at dawn tending to the livestock, work boots and all. The video really was a family affair. We shot it at his grandparent's farm outside of Toronto, his Dad fed our crew an amazing farm fresh lunch, and his parents even had cameos in the video (his mom as the angry mother, his dad as the tattoo artist). We set out to make a video that truly compliments the song and introduces Jade to the world in a memorable way, and I feel like we've done just that."
"Got Your Name On It" is Jade's first single since his debut signing with Universal
Music Canada. At only 24-years-old, Jade personifies the sound and heart of old school country taking you back in time to the days of Johnny Cash,
George Jones and Randy Travis. Raised on his grandparent's farm in Southern Ontario, Jade worked alongside his father tending crops and raising livestock. And while life may have led him off the farm for a stint here and there, it always brought him back just the same.
Despite making music most of his life, Jade only considered country music as a career when confronted with the challenge of keeping his family farm. Though that career started playing near empty bars, he caught his break in 2017 when he earned his way into the Emerging Artist Showcase at Boots and Hearts, where he played in front of more than 20,000 country fans. Jade's voice stunned audiences and separated him from the rest of the pack as he walked away with top honours. Jade was immediately signed to Universal
Music Canada and has been working on his debut album ever since. Stay tuned for more music to come.
