The Protagonists 'Tell Me' 14th July 2018
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Protagonists were formed in 2015 in Liverpool after a mutual love of music became apparent between 4 mates. The band began gigging locally not long after. After a few changes in personnel, The Protagonists settled on a line up of Connor Day - Vocals/Guitar, Ryan Jones - Guitar, Michael Sullivan - Bass and Alex Bowen - Drums. Originally influenced by the likes of Arctic Monkeys and Circa Waves, The Protagonists now feel that they have captured their own unique yet relatable sound, relying heavily on catchy melodies and anthemic chorus' which can be heard in tracks such as 'Blue Light' and 'Mathew Street'. The lads from Liverpool have just completed their first ever tour, stopping off in cities such as London, Leeds, Manchester, Northwich and Rawtenstall aswell as a sell out hometown show and appearances at Liverpool Sound City and Frodsham on the Hill Festivals, they now feel they are ready to push on and to progress as a band.

The Release
'Tell Me' was written about long drunken nights that stumbled into early mornings in Liverpool lusting over barmaids. The track was recorded at Whitewood Studios by the excellent Rob Whiteley. Rob's an absolute genius who we owe a lot to - he really captures our live sound
