New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Norwegian melodic death metallers ART OF DECEPTION have parted ways with lead vocalist/guitarist
Marius Ofstad. Furthermore the band has released a guitar playthrough video, Sindre Wathne Johnsen playing "Cosmic Fire". Watch it below.
Stated the band:
"Due to artistic differences
Marius have chosen to leave the band and pursue other projects. We still love and respect him with all of our hearts and we wish him the best of luck in the future. Art of Deception is still going to run this train woth full force ahead (announcements coming soon)."
Statement from
Marius below:
"It's with a heavy heart that i choose to step down from my position in Art of Deception. We have done some crazy things together and I really appreciate everything we have done. I learned so much after all these years. Art of Deception is the band where I have learned how to write riffs, songs & lyrics and I'm going to miss doing this for Art of Deception. Unfortunately everything must come to an end. The music simply doesn't fulfill my artistic and creative needs anymore but i wish my brothers the best of luck while I continue working on my own project.

Norwegian ART OF DECEPTION - formed in 2012 - is a melodic death metal band with thrash and progressive influences. Their live show can be described as energetic and full of crazy ass windmilling.
