Multi-Talented Rapper Dessa Lets Viewers Into Hectic World As FB's #ArtistoftheDay
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Rapper, singer, author, and monologist Dessa has had a busy couple of days - as part of her evergreen campaign for her new album 'Chime,' she sang the National Anthem at the WNBA All-Star Game in Minneapolis on Saturday, released a touching, poetic, eulogy dedicated to her grandmother with the lyric video for "I Hope I'm Wrong", which premiered with The Current on Monday, and gave fans a glimpse into her hectic world in her Facebook #ArtistoftheDay video yesterday.

Check out Dessa's FB #ArtistoftheDay vlog talking about her multi-faceted career HERE
Following the release of her critically acclaimed album, 'Chime' (one of NPR's "Favorite Albums of 2018, so far"), and having toured the US, Europe and Asia earlier this year, Dessa is set to release her first hardcover collection of essays, 'My Own Devices: Stories from the Road on Music, Science, and Senseless Love,' on September 18th via Dutton, an imprint of Penguin Random House. She will hit the road again this fall in support of her book, visiting six major US cities and making a stop at the season premiere of "Talking Volumes with Kerri Miller." Book tour dates:

In the midst of all of this, Dessa returns to Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis later this year (October 5th & 6th) to perform her original music rearranged by the award winning Minnesota Orchestra, with new monologues detailing a few of her most recent adventures.
And in November, she will embark on another solo tour to the UK for a run of shows, visiting London and Leeds, amongst other cities.
