Weezer and
Run The Jewels yesterday along with Riot Fest performers Taking Back Sunday, the festival has released the daily schedules and single day/two day tickets, which are on sale now. These artists join headliners Beck and Incubus, alongside
Elvis Costello & The Imposters, Young the Giant, Interpol, Blondie, Alkaline Trio, Father John Misty,
Jerry Lee Lewis and a cavalcade of incredible acts (full lineup below). Artist set times for Riot Fest 2018 will also be announced early next week.
Earlier today, the after party schedules were also released, including shows from Sum 41, Bad Religion, Lagwagon, Hot Snakes, K. Flay, Face to Face (acoustic), Direct Hit, Hot Snakes,
State Champs, Emo Night Brooklyn and more (schedule below).
Riot Fest's annual tradition of inviting a selection of iconic artists to perform their seminal albums front-to-back-often in celebration of an LP's landmark anniversary-is in fine form this year. Bonafide classics abound, with punk acts ranging from
Bad Religion to Fear, while the hip-hop spectrum (circa 1993) is represented by Digable Planets and Cypress Hill.
Riot Fest takes place
September 14-16 in Chicago's
Douglas Park. Now in its 14th year, the festival is set in a carnival atmosphere with games, top-flight food, and drinks... all under the shadow of a Ferris wheel. Another regular favorite feature of the fest is the Hellzapoppin' Circus Sideshow Revue, whose performers engage in death-defying tricks not only in their classic circus tent, but across the festival grounds throughout the weekend as well.
