Fall Into The Sunken Place With Get Out Live In Concert
New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Universal Brand Development) Universal Brand Development today announced the live-concert tour of Universal Pictures' Get Out, from Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Jordan Peele. The revolutionary film will be shown on the big screen as a live orchestra performs Michael Abels' heart-pounding score. Performances are currently scheduled for:
- The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., on September 20
- The Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, NY, on October 28
- The State Theater in Los Angeles, CA, on November 8

In get out, a speculative thriller from Blumhouse and the mind of Jordan Peele, a young African-American man visits his white girlfriend's family estate and gradually becomes ensnared in a sinister plot, which is the real reason for his invitation.

In the liner notes of the original motion-picture soundtrack, Peele reflects on his collaboration with Abels and how they worked to conjure an unexpected new sound. He says, "I envisioned distinctly Black voices harmonically creating an unnatural sound. The absence of hope. The void of the voiceless. A disembodied Negro spirit. The Sunken Place."

Get Out, released by Universal Pictures in 2017, was nominated for four Academy Awards® and won for Best Original Screenplay. The film is now available on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital.

Please visit your local theater website for more information and to purchase tickets.
About Get Out
In Universal Pictures' Get Out, a speculative thriller from Blumhouse (producers of The Visit, Insidious series and The Gift) and the mind of Jordan Peele, a young African-American man visits his white girlfriend's family estate and gradually becomes ensnared in a sinister plot, which is the real reason for his invitation.

Now that Chris (Daniel Kaluuya, Sicario) and his girlfriend, Rose (Allison Williams, Girls), have reached the meet-the-parents milestone of dating, she invites him for a weekend getaway upstate with Missy (Catherine Keener, Captain Phillips) and Dean (Bradley Whitford, The Cabin in the Woods).

At first, Chris reads the family's overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter's interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he could have never imagined.

Equal parts gripping thriller and provocative commentary, Get Out is written and directed by Peele (Key and Peele) and produced by Blumhouse's Jason Blum, as well as Sean McKittrick (Donnie Darko, Bad Words), Edward H. Hamm Jr. (Bad Words) and Peele. The film also stars Caleb Landry Jones (X-Men series), Stephen Root (No Country for Old Men), Milton "Lil Rel" Howery (The Carmichael Show), Betty Gabriel (The Purge: Election Year), Marcus Henderson (Pete's Dragon) and Lakeith Stanfield (Straight Outta Compton).
