Angélique Kidjo Joined By Alicia Keys, Questlove And Blood Orange On New Amazon Original Version Of "The Great Curve" From Radical Remake Of Talking Heads' 'Remain In Light'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Angélique Kidjo set the music world on fire in June with her track-by-track reimagination of Talking Heads' landmark album 'Remain in Light.' Now a new Amazon Original version of standout track "The Great Curve" has been released on Amazon Music, which features guests Alicia Keys on vocals and Questlove on drums, alongside Blood Orange on guitar, plus the Antibalas horns, Angelique's longtime guitarist Dominic James, and Magatte Sow (percussionist for the 'Black Panther' film score). The album will be released on CD format September 28 (Kravenworks Records) - pre-order it here: https://amzn.to/2xijckf

Angélique and her full band will also perform her ecstatic version of this album at home in NYC, September 27 at Central Park's SummerStage. SummerStage is the latest stop on an international tour that continues through 2018 with a number of shows in Europe, and since May she's performed it in Los Angeles, London, Chicago and Washington, D.C.

Angélique has had an incredible summer - she performed "Once in a Lifetime" on Jimmy Kimmel Live in May, discussed the album with David Byrne on the New Yorker Radio Hour, has been featured on NPR Morning Edition, NPR Music First Listen, Pitchfork, LA Times, Studio 360, Questlove Supreme, PRI's The World and more.

Angélique partnered with super producer and 2015 Grammy Producer of the Year Jeff Bhasker (Kanye West, Rolling Stones, Beyonce) for her version of 'Remain in Light,' which brings the Talking Heads album full circle, back to the sounds of West Africa that inspired the original. The artwork was created by Kerry James Marshall.

Amazon Music listeners can simply ask, "Alexa, play the new song by Angelique Kidjo" in the Amazon Music app for iOS and Android and on Alexa-enabled devices. In addition to "The Great Curve," Amazon Music listeners can access hundreds of Amazon Original songs and numerous albums featuring both emerging and established artists across numerous genres, available to stream and purchase on Amazon Music.
