Singer/Songwriter John Craigie Releases "I Wrote Mr. Tambourine Man" Featuring Jack Johnson
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Portland, OR-based singer-songwriter John Craigie released his a new version of his song "I Wrote Mr. Tambourine Man." Recorded live at the Greek Theatre with Jack Johnson, the track was praised by Billboard. Proceeds from the song will benefit Johnson's All At Once Non-Profit Partners from the Greek Theatre show, to support healthy watersheds, local food, and environmental projects.

Craigie truly has a unique live performance - between nearly each song of the set, Craigie tells a bit that thematically leads into the next track. Because of his comedic delivery and craft for storytelling, The Stranger described him as "the lovechild of John Prine and Mitch Hedberg with a vagabond troubadour edge." Releasing live material allows for Craigie's talents to shine, and it's the whole reason that he caught Jack Johnson's attention. A few years back Craigie's live LP Capricorn in Retrograde… Just Kidding… Live in Portland landed in Johnson's car stereo during a California coastal road trip. Immediately becoming a fan, Jack reached out and invited Craigie to open for him.

"I love touring with John Craigie," says Jack. "He shows up with a guitar and a backpack, and is ready to crash on any couch. I hope this version of 'I Wrote Mr. Tambourine Man' captures even a fraction of the fun that we have on tour together!"

Touring with Jack Johnson inspired Craigie to start his #KeepItWarm2018 tour, which kicks off this November. On each date of his 19 city national tour, Craigie is partnering with local organizations that support the homeless in their community. One dollar from each ticket sold will go to a local nonprofit, and at each show volunteers will collect jackets, gloves, hats, scarves, sleeping bags, and other supplies from fans. "While touring with Jack, I got to see how he was able to use his music to entertain as well as spread a good message and get people to help out. I saw how his fans wanted to pitch in and were grateful to have guidance in how to do that."

Earlier this year, Craigie released his albums LIVE: Opening for Steinbeck and Scarecrow, which earned praise from The Boot, Oregon Public Broadcasting, Glide Magazine, and more.
