New York, NY (Top40 Charts) For Rea Garvey, everything is subject to a process of constant change, and even to see this as an opportunity, personally and artistically, means above all opportunities and further development, rather than limitations and loss.

The current album, NEON, reflects the importance of this subject for the musician with Irish roots, particularly with the new single, "Kiss Me". Rea Garvey was inspired to write the song by the idea of stopping time for a moment to shift away from yourself and become part of the other person, and to see yourself through their eyes.
"'Kiss Me' is about being honest in love. It's about the love of a person but also about my relationship to life: doing things that are unexpected. I was trying to tell myself to give everything to the things I love, not just what I thought was expected."
Rea Garvey is best-known as the former-frontman of alt-rock quintet Reamonn.

The Irish native started his career fronting Dubliners the Reckless Pedestrians, but in 1998 emigrated to Germany where he first worked as a roadie and sold T-shirts before founding Reamonn. The band went on to score fifteen Top 40 singles and five Top Ten albums during the nineties.

Garvey simultaneously pursued various other projects, collaborating with the likes of Nelly Furtado ("All Good Things") and Mary J. Blige ("Each Tear"), contributing vocals to dance tracks by Jam and Spoon ("Be Angeled"), Paul Van Dyk ("Let Go"), and ATB ("Running a Wrong Way"), and writing songs for talent show winners Nu Pagadi and Elli Erl.

In 2011, he released his debut solo single, "Can't Stand the Silence," and its parent album of the same name, and was appointed as one of the judges on Germany's version of The Voice. This year, he released his fourth solo album, NEON.

NEON is sonically Garvey's most radical album yet, with the heart of the album based on Garvey's collaborations with both new and established talent from his two homes - the adopted one of Germany and his native home in Ireland. Garvey states the album is about changing perspectives and trying to inspire people on a closer level in these challenging times.
