New York, NY (Top40 Charts) This month it is our duty to celebrate one of the most incendiary events in Rock & Roll history! Exactly 50 years to the moment the MC5 ignited the Zenta New Year at 8952 Grand River Ave., conjure up your Trans-Love Energies and join us for a bold, new-era, live recording of Kick Out the Jams!
So, to all of you Motherfuckers, Happy Zenta New Year. Grab your tickets here: https://thirdmanstore.com/mc50th-zenta-new-year - It's time to get down with it!
On the 50th Anniversary of the MC5's live performance of their debut album Kick Out the Jams, which was recorded in two nights over Devil's Night and Halloween in 1968 at Detroit's historic Grande Ballroom, Third Man Records Cass Corridor hosts MC50 for an intimate rock n roll experience in celebration of this historic event.
An MC50 live performance of the entire album, start to finish, featuring MC5 founder Wayne Kramer, Billy Gould of Faith No More, Marcus Durant of Zen Guerrilla, Kim Thayil of Soundgarden, and Brendan Canty of Fugazi, with special spiritual advisors Matt Cameron of Soundgarden/Pearl Jam and Don Was, will rock the block as Third Man captures it all direct-to-acetate.
Come and be a part of a live recording and filming of this historic commemoration. A $50 ticket gets you into the show, and event attendees may purchase a limited-edition album of the TMR Cass Corridor live recording of Kick Out the Jams.
Proceeds benefit Jail Guitar Doors, a 501c3 non-profit organization working toward restorative justice.
