New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Boston-based recording artist Alice Howe will perform in concert, joined by special guest Freebo, at The Burren in Somerville, MA this Saturday, November 3, 2018. The evening celebrates the completion of Alice's forthcoming album, Visions, produced by Freebo and recorded with a band of stellar musicians in Bakersfield California. Tickets and information are available at https://tickets.burren.com/.

The musicians who recorded Visions with Alice include Freebo (Bonnie Raitt, CSN, Ringo Starr), Fuzzbee Morse, John Molo, and John 'JT' Thomas who have played or recorded with everyone from Bruce Hornsby to Lou Reed and Richie Havens, Phil Lesh, Jackson Browne, Tracy Chapman, Nick Jameson, and a who's who of West Coast characters. The band set to play with her at The Burren includes Freebo, JT Thomas, Berklee College of Music's Marty Walsh, and Dave Mattacks, iconic drummer for Fairport Convention for decades.

The new album, which was completed with a highly successful Kickstarter campaign, has encouraged Alice to work outside her framework of acoustic arrangements. With Freebo's guidance, they have incorporated electric instruments, inventive percussion techniques, a Hammond B-3 for coloring, and a horn section to lend a big band groove to some of the new recordings. Visions truly captures a young artist developing her collaborative musical voice.

Following the #1 Most Played Song on the FOLK-DJ charts, "Homeland Blues" from her 2017 EP You've Been Away So Long, the new album features a collection of new originals including "Twilight" and "Getaway Car" and her interpretations of iconic songs in her family's vast record collection such as Muddy Waters "Honey Bee", "Too Long at the Fair," first covered by Bonnie Raitt, and songs from Dylan and Taj Mahal.

Alice and Freebo have been recording and touring together for the past year and have just returned from a critically acclaimed tour of the UK and the Netherlands in October. They will be touring the Northeastern US including showcase appearances at the regional and International Folk Alliance Conferences in Stamford CT and Montreal QB.
