Global Grind Chats With Bread Doe About New Single "Pick Up"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Critically acclaimed Chicago artist, songwriter, and producer Bread Doe revealed the meaning behind his new single "Pick Up [Koke Interlude]" today in an exclusive interview via GlobalGrind.com.

"Pick Up" is the first single off the project, which "reflects on Bread Doe's life experiences to-date as much as it is about his journey to raise his own consciousness and the circumstances of himself and his loved ones." -GlobalGrind.com

"Pick Up [Koke Interlude]" spotlights his deep delivery and robustly rich voice. His bellowing croon proves instantly infectious and utterly recognizable as he carries a hypnotic refrain with raw soul over airy production. Meanwhile, the visual relays an emotionally charged narrative, exploring the space within a frayed relationship. It serves as the perfect gateway into the music of Bread Doe.

"Pick Up [Koke Interlude]" also heralds the arrival of his highly anticipated debut project, Raisin' Bread, releasing very soon.

Bread Doe initially left his stamp on the game from the shadows. As a sought-after collaborator, his production, writing, and recording can be heard on cuts by everyone from Jeremih and King Louie to Jessie Reyez, Pvrx, and Jack Flash, to name a few. Over the past year, his own artistry has taken center stage. He initially made waves with singles such as "Come Thru," "Okkay,"and RNA and received early tastemaker praise from Noisey, The 405, and more. Now, he's letting his voice and story be heard on Raisin' Bread.

Bread Doe is a writer, producer and recording artist raised in North Chicago, Illinois. Having produced, written and recorded with King Louie, Jeremih, Jessie Reyez, Pvrx, Jack Flash and others - Bread Doe has stepped out from behind the scenes and into the light in a real way. Performing in Mexico, The USA and Canada, Bread Doe has shared stages with Waka Flocka, Jessie Reyez, and Frankie Carrera while developing and perfecting his craft. Drawing from diverse musical influences, Bread's personal experience growing up as a "ward of the state" gave him access and insight into a variety of cultures in America before ultimately becoming adopted into his American & Jamaican household.

A mercurial talent (singing, rapping, producing, engineering, performing) - Bread Doe confidently walks a line between genres that straddles truth and contradiction.Struggling with his identity and sense of belonging and living through the harsh realities of street life in Chicago, Bread Doe started to form his own strong moral code that would help him not only survive, but flourish. Raised by a village - Bread Doe has recently become a father in his own right. Faced with new challenges, Bread has never been more focused on positive growth and change.
