New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Rising electronic producer/recording artist Melvv has teamed up with L.A.-based pop duo, More Giraffes for the sizzling new collab, "Heatwave." Featuring Melvv's signature bouncy production and the dreamy vocals of More Giraffes, "
Heatwave" is accompanied by an equally stunning companion visual directed by Melvv himself. "
Heatwave" is available everywhere now via Atlantic Records.
"I had been writing a bunch of serious stuff and then this song kind of came together without having to try so hard," says Melvv, "We wrote it in the middle of the summer. It was way too hot out. AC kept us alive. Had a great time and didn't have to go to the beach. Beaches are still cool though."
Following jam-packed performances at Lollapalooza, Splash House, Electric Forest, Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Firefly, Melvv's energetic live show can now be seen on the road with French producer/DJ,
Petit Biscuit (dates below). The Wisconsin native has previously toured with electronic heavyweights including Zedd, Louis The Child, Jai Wolf, Whethan, Hippie Sabotage, and Big Gigantic, in addition to an opening set for Diplo at Miami
Music Week.
Melvv has surely established himself as one to watch in the pop/electro community with his diverse catalog of collaborations and remixes for artists including Two Feet, Electric Guest, Louis The Child, Vance Joy, Marian Hill, and Mø. The 21 year-old producer is gearing up to release even more new music later this year.

In Cedarburg, Wisconsin -a suburb of Milwaukee -it isn't normal for kids to seek a career in music. While he had taken piano and drum lessons sporadically throughout his childhood, Jeffrey Melvin had thought that his musical pursuits would only be a hobby. It wasn't until his sister showed him a
Daft Punk concert DVD that music became more than leisure. After watching that Alive 2007 video, Melvin dove into production. Now a high schooler, he began to combine ideas from jazz piano lessons with electronic music. Melvin had no connections in the industry, so he released his early songs on the streaming website SoundCloud; his moniker online was Melvv. His music's reception and global reach on the site came as a complete surprise. Upon finishing his first year at the University of Wisconsin in 2016, Melvin dropped out to pursue music full time. Before completing his second semester, however, he went on his first tour with Big Gigantic and Louis The Child, culminating with a solo performance at the famed DoLab stage at Coachella. Melvv kept quietly working on his music in the meantime, developing his sound and curating collaborations as he continued to grow artistically. Following the release of singles "
Not Me" and "
Lifeline" under indie label Majestic Casual, Melvv caught the attention of Atlantic Records, with whom he signed in 2017. More to come from this exciting one to watch...
