The Chris Rogers Band Birthday Bash Comes To The Triad Theater
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Trumpeter/composer Chris Rogers has been a featured soloist with many iconic artists in Jazz and Latin-Jazz since the early 1980s, and is one of New York City's highly respected veteran trumpeters.

Chris' long-awaited debut CD as a leader - "Voyage Home" (Art Of Life Records, featuring Michael Brecker, Ted Nash, and Steve Khan) received 4.5 stars in DOWNBEAT and was later selected among that magazine's "Best Jazz Albums of 2017".
At the age of only 19 - and after a recommendation from Tom Harrell - Chris took over Harrell's chair in Gerry Mulligan's Concert Jazz Band, enjoying a five-year stint as the primary trumpet soloist. He's also gigged and/or recorded with Eddie Palmieri, Buddy Rich, Mongo Santamaria, Bob Moses, Ray Barretto, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Maria Schneider, Hilton Ruiz, Frank Sinatra, Lionel Hampton, Chaka Khan, Mel Lewis, Lee Konitz, and many others. Chris is a native New Yorker who hails from a musical family. His father - the late trombonist Barry Rogers - is widely credited with creating "the sound of Latin trombone' through his collaborations with Eddie Palmieri spanning three decades; and was a founding member of the seminal jazz-rock band "DREAMS". Growing up in this richly creative sonic environment afforded Chris the unique opportunity of mentorship from trumpet greats such as Randy Brecker, Lew Soloff, Mike Lawrence and Tom Harrell.
Please come out and help Chris celebrate his birthday with this very exciting band!

Featuring:
Chris Rogers (trumpet, flugelhorn, EWI)
Bob Franceschini (tenor saxophone)
Theo Hill (piano)
Jay Anderson (bass)
Steve Johns (drums)
*plus special guest Theo Rogers (guitar)
