New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Standing at almost 7 feet tall and weighing in at 550 lbs, it is impossible not to notice Mass Of Man. While his physical size is apparent, it is accompanied by his towering ability to shed light on major issues within our society through music. In his latest music video "Victims" (which premiered exclusively with GoodMusicAllDay) Mass of Man touches on one of America's most tragic and sickening acts of violence in mass shootings. Addressing the point-of-view from not only the lives taken but the broken shooter.
"I wrote the song 'Victims' as a way to help increase the awareness of school shooting tragedies with an attempt to take on the shooters perspective," says Mass of Man. "In no shape or form am I supporting or justifying these actions, but bringing them to light in order to create a discussion as to why this is happening on a more social level. As a victim of bullying, I can understand the circumstances that could bring a kid to such rash decision and I believe we as a nation should understand and become more aware of what bullying is capable of."
The video for "Victims" re-enacts a mass shooting. "It's unapologetic, uncensored, raw, not for the faint of heart, but a must-see video," says GoodMusicAllDay. The clip addresses many of unanswered questions that arise in every incident involving mass shootings.
Mass of Man first began rapping as a way to feel accepted in high school. He had been a victim of bullying for his size and personality, and it took a toll on him emotionally. He was at the point where he'd try to avoid going to school in any way possible.
"Victims" was directed by Jim Foster produced by OH NO! ØKTAPUS. "Victims" follows-up Mass of Man's previous singles, "Fallen Angel," "Stay Alive," and "Brave."
