Tesha Debuts Haunting New Track "Funeral" Exclusively Via The 405
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today, Brooklyn-via-Tel Aviv experimental songwriter, producer, and visual artist Tesha delivers the opening track of her upcoming EP, opening the door to her minimalist yet complex sonic world. "Funeral," opening with a deep captivating rhythm and carrying through with hauntingly airy vocals, makes its debut via The 405. The sonic components and intricate, intimate lyricism shine a light on Tesha's ability to convey her inner world through her music.

When describing the inspiration behind the compelling track, she opens up: "This song is about my mom's funeral. It was very sunny outside, and I knew she wanted me to laugh about this. She definitely didn't want me to get stuck on the loss, but it hurt and it was also funny at the same time because I was comforting all of her devastated patients (which is why all the contrast in the lyrics exist)." She goes deeper into the outcome of the song by stating "You might be down, deep in a shitpit, so deep that you can't see anything positive. But these heartbreaks make us stronger and they will unveil their purpose with time. "

Tonight, Tesha will be christening the new track at Brooklyn's Elsewhere, with an opening set for Beacon, along with other tracks new and old. Tickets will be available at the door, and for further information, please reach out to Girlie Action.

Known as TESHA, the forward thinking singer-songwriter and producer creates self empowering, ruminative and equality driven experimental electro-acoustic focused on the wonders and unknowns of life. Born in Israel and raised playing her mother's living room piano, she drew inspiration from the likes of Laurie Anderson, Kate Bush and the classical era. After the loss of both parents during adolescence-early 20's, her purpose was ignited and soon dedicated her life to music. A year later, she moved to Brooklyn, piecing together hours of self-taught vocals and experimentation with synth production. Embracing the unknown, she transcribed the visuals delivered from her dreams. An intrinsically beautiful place where form, rawness, vulnerability and unconditional love runs free. While in this place, she learned to overcome many of life's obstacles. Walking forward, and coming back with treasures from dark recesses, sculpting the framework of her self-released debut EP, Growing Pain II.
