New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today, Toronto born multi-platinum singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes announces his first ever stadium show in his hometown. On September 6th, 2019 Shawn Mendes will play Rogers Centre in Toronto for the first time. The headlining show marks his biggest to date and will wrap up the North American leg of his global arena tour.

Today, Shawn also announced a limited-edition merchandise collaboration with Canadian-born brand Roots, in celebration of his hometown show. The collaboration will be available tomorrow, December 4th, at the Roots store in the CF Toronto Eaton Centre for a limited time. Everyone attending the in-store event will receive a unique presale code entitling them to be the first to secure guaranteed tickets to the Toronto show. The first 100 fans at the store who purchase an item will also receive a limited-edition signed poster; ten lucky fans will win tickets to the show; and one will win a meet and greet with Shawn, as well tickets to the show. Presale tickets will be available starting December 5th at 10AM EST via For fans outside of the city, the line will be available online at on December 5th .

The Toronto show announcement follows Shawn Mendes' already announced worldwide arena tour in support of his self-titled album, Shawn Mendes released in May of this year. A one-night-only special event that will feature an extended acoustic & full tour set the Rogers centre show will be the last stop on the North American leg. Shawn Mendes: The Tour spans over 60+ dates between North America, Europe, UK, Australia, & New Zealand, with more dates still to be announced.

Shawn Mendes the artist's self-titled third album follows 2016's double platinum Illuminate which spawned 3 Top 10 radio hits, and 2014's Handwritten which included the 7x platinum smash #1 single "Stitches," both of which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart. "In My Blood" and "Lost In Japan," the first two tracks off the upcoming album, released to rave reviews and received critical acclaim from outlets including Rolling Stone, Billboard, The New York Times and Variety. Both tracks have already experienced massive success, soaring to the #1 and #2 spots on the overall iTunes chart in the U.S, Top 5 on iTunes in 50 countries, and holding the #1 and #2 spots on Spotify's "New Music Friday" playlist. The newly released third song off of the album, "Youth" featuring Khalid has already reached #1 on iTunes in the US. Additional yet-to-be-released tracks on the album include "Fallin' All In You" (co-written by Ed Sheeran), "Particular Taste" (co-written by Ryan Tedder), and "Like To Be You" featuring Julia Michaels who co-wrote the song; the song also features a guitar solo from John Mayer, who produced the track.
