Listen: Chris Thile Featured On WNYC's "The Brian Lehrer Show"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Chris Thile was a guest on WNYC's The Brian Lehrer Show yesterday, recorded live from The Greene Space in downtown Manhattan. He spoke with Lehrer about hosting the public radio show Live From Here, holding Carnegie Hall's Debs Composer's Chair this season, becoming a MacArthur Foundation Fellow, his beloved mandolin, and more. He also performed two songs: "St. Mike," a timely-as-ever Song of the Week from Live From Here about Michael Cohen, and "Attaboy," an instrumental track the album The Goat Rodeo Sessions. You can listen to the complete session below.

Live From Here continues a month-long residency at The Town Hall in New York City this Saturday with special guests St. Vincent, Jon Batiste, Nickel Creek bandmate Sara Watkins, and fellow Punch Brother Noam Pikelny. The following Saturday, the residency concludes with special guests Gaby Moreno, The Knights, and comedian Jim Breuer. Details and tickets available at livefromhere.org.

Chris Thile and his fellow Punch Brothers have received a Grammy nomination for Best Folk Album for their new album, All Ashore. To pick up a copy, head to your local independent record store, Amazon, and the Top40-Charts Store, where orders include a download of the complete album at checkout; you can also download it on iTunes and listen on Spotify and Apple Music.
