Tom Flynn Releases New Single "Automatic People"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Tom Flynn has been a musician since 1989 when he played the guitar in a high school band called Tachyon alongside his childhood friend Tom Brislin. After many years of learning different musical styles and experiences, both of them have collaborated again to produce Tom's debut album named "Travels."

Having started playing music early, Tom Flynn's first band cut their musical teeth as a young progressive rock band in an era where "hair bands" were in vogue. They also got their first experience of songwriting and performing as the duet called Tachyon. Tom Brislin would grow into a successful keyboard player and songwriter while Tom Flynn joined other bands in New Jersey and eventually formed a new band called Rain Station with two other artists.

"Automatic People" is a folksy pop song which is indicative of Tom Flynn's musical growth over the years. Working as a song writer for open mic performers and honing his guitar skills, he took professional song writing classes with the late John Braheny in 2002. The sound of this song is a blended folk and rock which excellent lyrics to go with the instrumentals.

As a strong song writer, Tom Flynn also showed off his expertise with the guitar in this song, using a narrative approach to describe how life generally can be moving along like an assembly line. In this song, he talks about how people today live an automatic life where they are directed by signals and forced to move along set paths like cars following a traffic light at a busy intersection.

Both Tom Flynn and Tom Brislin show once again that their chemistry from the days of Tachyon, only in this case, Brislin was in charge of producing the song. The production quality was excellently done, and you can hear all the underlying elements of the track. As in introduction to Tom Flynn's blended rock-folk singing style, "Automatic People" is an interesting song that will be comfortably played on most radio stations by both rock lovers and folk admirers. Tom Flynn is currently working on a media tour for his new album and we are looking forward to seeing him perform live on stage soon.
