New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Music City based guitar daredevil, singer, songwriter and producer Ted Drozdowski has created a sonic and soulful 10-song album, funded by fans and with liner notes by Anthony DeCurtis, called Coyote Motel.
That's both the album's title and the name of the band he's formed to support it onstage. The debut video, for Coyote Motel's opening track, will be unveiled shortly. The album has also begun airplay on terrestrial and streaming radio, and the single "Frog Alley" is slated for early February release.
Drozdowski's previous band, Scissormen, has toured the U.S and played Europe, hitting everything from juke joints to coffeehouses to Bonnaroo, and put out six releases, including 2015's Love & Life, and the DVD/CD set BIG SHOES, which includes a 90-minute movie by the great music documentary filmmaker Robert Mugge. It debuted at the Starz Denver Film Festival.
" Coyote Motel is cosmic roots music," Drozdowski explains. "I've always heard Great American
Music as a glorious continuum, and I believe that, like parallel universes, all of the sounds that it encompasses exist and can be heard at the same time. So for me, the influences of Muddy Waters and
Daniel Lanois, or Lonnie Mack and Pink Floyd, not only can but should exist in the same song. I also believe the mark of a true artist is to distil influences and ideas into an original voice. With Coyote Motel, I've done my best to live up to those principles." A complete bio of Coyote Motel is at this link: https://teddrozdowski.com/#coyote-motel-bio
