On The Record At Park MGM Lands Mark Ronson As First Resident DJ
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Hot on the heels of Golden Globe and Critics' Choice Awards for the hit song "Shallow," co-written with Lady Gaga for the film A Star is Born, British-born music producer and songwriter Mark Ronson has signed on as the first resident DJ at On The Record, Houston Hospitality's speakeasy and club which opened Dec. 28 at Park MGM in Las Vegas.

Ronson will DJ 12 dates exclusively at On The Record in 2019, making his residency debut on Saturday, Feb. 2.

"On The Record breaks the mold for nightlife in Las Vegas with Jonnie and Mark Houston's unique concept," said Sean Christie, President of Nightlife and Events for MGM Resorts International. "It was important to us for Mark (Ronson) to be OTR's first resident because he embodies musically what we're trying to achieve in the club. With hit collaborations with a diverse range of artists such as Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Bruno Mars, Dua Lipa and others, he's a perfect fit for the new direction we're bringing to The Strip."

In collaboration with Miley Cyrus, Ronson's newest hit single "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart," his first pop single as a recording artist since "Uptown Funk," is tearing up the charts. Winning two 2015 Grammy Awards including "Record of the Year," "Uptown Funk" held the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 14 consecutive weeks, and is the highest-ranking song of this century. Ronson has worked on a handful of hit releases in 2018. Besides co-writing "Shallow," performed by frequent collaborator Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, Ronson -- as a member of supergroup Silk City with Diplo -- released "Electricity" with Dua Lipa, a Top 5 single on the UK charts and nearing Gold sales status in the U.S.

Conjuring a feeling of nostalgia inspired by different musical eras, the 11,000-square-foot three-room On The Record is a hidden club experience driven by Jonnie and Mark Houston's award-winning interior design. A functioning record store entry, indoor and outdoor spaces, a double-decker bus DJ booth and patio bar, hidden karaoke break rooms, an intimate Vinyl Parlor with special guest Bartenders-in-Residence, and a world-class cocktail program are among the venue's Instagrammable features.

On The Record hours of operation are Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights from 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
