New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Expanding its line of professional model flutes, Yamaha today unveiled a trio of new models—YFL-597H, 697H and 797H—designed to further meet the needs of high school, college and professional level flutists.
Inheriting the many virtues of top-of-the-line Yamaha handmade flutes through vertical integration, these new models offer rich, nuanced tonality over a wide dynamic range, as well as industry leading craftsmanship, consistency, precision and visual elegance.
The YFL-597H and 697H combine the brilliance of nickel silver with the characteristic mellow timbres of sterling silver, while the YFL-797 delivers warmth and expressive color that only the finest sterling silver flutes can provide.
The new instruments feature a newly-redesigned mechanism incorporating a split E key, a vital component now available as an option on all Yamaha professional flutes.
Other highlights include a beautiful hand-finished sterling silver head joint on all models, and 0.43mm wall thickness and Straubinger
Phoenix pads (in the 600 and 700 series only) which provide an incredibly precise seal and quick response, especially when combined with newly redesigned tone holes and pad cups.
"Flutists desire an instrument that truly meets their specific needs and expanding our selection of professional flutes provides an additional combination of features to cater to the discerning player's technique," says Brian Petterson, marketing manager, Yamaha Winds, Yamaha Corporation of America. "These are flutes of the highest quality and produce a beautiful, expressive tone that will inspire flutists to excel."
