Stamos, a frequent guest performer with the band, first saw The Beach Boys when he was 15 years old. As an 'adjunct member,' he has appeared with the band in numerous concerts and played the conga drums and steel drums in their video for "Kokomo." In 1990, he played drums for them on the title track of the comedy Problem Child and also in the song's music video. Stamos sang lead vocals on a new version of "Forever" (originally written and sung by Beach Boy Dennis Wilson) for their album Summer in Paradise. The song was also featured twice on Stamos' hit television show Full House. The 1992 music video, "Forever" by Jesse and the Rippers, shows Stamos singing harmonies with Carl Wilson, Bruce Johnston, and Mike Love. Stamos also served as an Executive Producer for the top-rated miniseries The Beach Boys: An American Family, which was nominated for three Emmy Awards including Outstanding Mini-series and won a DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement In Movies For Television.
