NEW YORK (AP) - Bob Dylan has inked a deal with
Simon &
Schuster to write a multi-volume autobiography titled
Chronicles. The first volume in the series is expected sometime next year. The 60-year-old artist is currently on tour in support of his latest album,
Love and Theft, which was released last month.

Garth Brooks is contributing several tracks from his recently released
The Magic of Christmas to the TNT original film,
Call Me Claus, starring
Whoopi Goldberg and airing Dec. 2. Tracks include "Call Me Claus;" "Ready For Jesus;" a re-make of Louis Armstrong�s song, "Zat You,
Santa Claus;" "Winter Wonderland;" "Sleigh Ride;" and "Have Yourself a Merry
Little Christmas." Meanwhile, Brooks and Capitol Records are offering country radio stations a live premiere of his forthcoming album,
Scarecrow, on the day of release, Nov. 13. Three specials for Eastern, Central/Mountain, and Pacific time zones for both morning and afternoon drive radio shows will be offered.
Access Hollywood's
Nancy O'Dell will host morning specials, while the afternoon shows are hosted by actress/comedian
Caroline Rhea (
Sabrina the Teenage Witch).
