Manics Release Eleven Eleven Off Forthcoming Debut EP
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) With a driving bassline and hypnotic synthesizers, Bay Area indie outfit MANICS turn out a shimmering nu-disco groove on "Eleven Eleven." The single, alongside recent release "Deja Rendezvu," will be featured on the duo's debut EP, Binary, out on Dim Mak March 8th.

"Eleven Eleven" draws listeners in through Chris Sanders' hypnotic synth work and Jordan Derrherra's deep, powerful basslines. The nostalgic dance-floor cut is rounded out with a poetic verses, reflecting on passion and affection.
"The song is in essence about meeting up with an old friend and having sparks fly," says the duo. "It's about seeing someone you know in a new light and being instantly infatuated."

Following a hometown New Years Eve blow-out supporting The Knocks at San Francisco's Mezzanine, and a DJ set opening up for Washed Out, MANICS had a chance to perform "Eleven Eleven" and Binary cuts for a LA audience at Neil Favila's recent Proof of Life book release and photo exhibition. Stay tuned for more tour dates to come in 2019.

MANICS is an indie dance act comprised of Jordan Deherrera and Chris Sanders. Their performances are a medley of indie pop vocals, live bass, synth work, percussion and modulation; accompanied by matching lights and visuals. Since its inception in 2012, the project has developed into a dynamic performance of technology and raw emotion with their music being supported by Odesza, Goldroom, Poolside, & others.

MANICS are also the masterminds behind the bay-area indie label POPGANG Records. Founded in 2013, the label features artists and producers across a wide swath of genres and sub-cultures while retaining a cohesive identity built on the punk-DIY mentality turned modern. Approaching close to 100 releases to date, POPGANG's catalog is a diverse collection of work from the bay area & beyond.
