New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today, NPR share's Julia Jacklin's highly anticipated album Crushing as a "First Listen" advance stream. Also released today is the video for "Comfort" which Jacklin filmed with long time collaborator Nick McKinlay while on tour in the US recently. She says, "Happy Valentine's Day! On tour with First Aid Kit last year I crossed the highway from our Super 8 motel just outside of Santa Rosa, New Mexico and stumbled upon this strange water park. I ran back and dragged Nick out of his bed yelling, "we must make a video!" we only had an hour before we needed to start driving to the next show but we managed to get enough footage of me looking sad to make the clip."

Jacklin was recently in the US where she stopped by the Paste Studios to perform songs from the new album as well as WFUV, WFMU and World Cafe in Philadelphia. She will be returning to US shores this spring in support of Crushing, all dates are selling fast and listed below.
Crushing will be released February 22nd via Polyvinyl/Universal Music.

Praise for Crushing
- "The Australian singer-songwriter has a knack for packing an emotional punch with her deceptively fragile sound... an exciting return for the musician, and positions our eyes on the road to Jacklin's next release." - NPR
- ""Head Alone" sounds at first like placid folk-rock, with two strummed guitar chords behind Australian songwriter Julia Jacklin's reedy voice. But that's resolve, not complacency; she's fuming, and the reason soon emerges: "I don't want to be touched all the time," she sings. By the end of the song, she's got a rallying cry: "Say it till he understands/ You can love somebody without using your hands."" - New York Times
- "["Body"] A maudlin song about your shitty boyfriend being arrested on a plane for smoking in the toilets. What's not to love?" - The FADER
- "With these elegantly devastating songs, Julia carves out a space, and a class, all of her own." - MOJO 8/10
- "Aussie artist Julia Jacklin's new album Crushing explores all facets of the word. "Head Alone" is a pointed song; with the gripping socio-political lyric "I don't want to be touched all the time/I raised my body up to be mine."" - KCRW
