New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Pop artist and fashion icon, Tiffany Young, today announced the release of her first U.S. project/EP, Lips On Lips. Out today, the EP consists of 5 songs, all connected with the themes of growing up, finding oneself and owning your own power. Since it's release, Lips On Lips has catapulted to the #1 spot on the iTunes K-pop Albums Chart. One of the songs, "Runaway," features a duet with legend, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmunds along with the title track, "Lips on Lips;" where Tiffany focuses on the intimacy and closeness of a kiss, and expands on the idea of sharing her most personal moments throughout the EP. Lips On Lips is distributed through Transparent Arts; and executive produced by Kev Nish of
Far East Movement and A&R by Jon Yip of the Grammy Award winning production team, The Stereotypes (Bruno Mars).
"Born Again," Tiffany's first single off Lips On Lips, received critical acclaim and created a huge buzz upon release last month. The Hollywood Reporter referred to the song as "a glittering paean to one's self-renewal," and PAPER Magazine called it "a Rebirth."
"This song and music video was a very emotional and personal journey inspired by all the tragedy and pain I've had to mask with a smile throughout my career, and "
Born Again" is symbolic of my passion to always fight to grow from these experiences," Tiffany said of the Fernando Garibay (Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Whitney Houston) produced single.
"Lips On Lips," the title track, flawlessly portrays the overall theme of "intimacy" and "closeness" throughout this EP. Tiffany explains "The sound and theme is like a fairy tale or fantasy through pop music, in every fairy tale there is always a fight through struggle and pain right before the moment of triumph and then the kiss. Through tough times I've had to close my eyes and see the fairy tale fantasy, past the pain, everyone needs that."
At a tender age, Tiffany suffered the loss of her mother and found her "religion," music, as a way to heal and recognize her future path. Lips On Lips next single, "The Flower," is a representative of that growth through pain.
Tiffany adds, "Flowers represent a duality in my life: death and pain as well as , comfort and love through amazing times. I've smiled through some dark and painful moments in my life to then present myself poised and full of life like a flower, and I wrote this song with the intention of comforting anyone listening to it, through their struggle and hard time so that I could be the flower to their pain."
Tiffany recently opened up to The Hollywood Reporter about the stigma of keeping up a "perfect" persona; "We don't want to be robots. We're all just young artists who want to make music and, most importantly, we're human beings. We all have something to say that we'd like to share through music and our platform." "Not Barbie" encompasses this message, it "addresses all the pressures I went through as a young girl in a society where you have to be perfect, being an artist or not, plus the pressure that women and men have for modifications to maintain perfection. I needed this song to inspire myself and hopefully inspire others to not let anyone else's judgements define your beauty, inside and out."
For the end note of this emotional EP, Tiffany collaborated with icon and Grammy Award winning Singer, Songwriter, and Producer, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmunds for the soaring track, "Runaway." Reminiscent of a classic 90's R&B song, "
Runaway" represents the male/female relationship in a way that recalls the classics, but yet sets the tone of a young woman coming into her own in her life. Known for his soothing and melodic vocals, "Babyface" delivers on this track, elevating both of their voices for a song destined to become, "ear candy."
"Working with
Babyface on "
Runaway" was a dream come to life for me. He is the master of bringing a listener into a fairytale love world and his songwriting and melodies have lead countless songs that have comforted me my whole life. "
Runaway" is the perfect end for me, and the perfect beginning into the next chapter" Tiffany reveals of the collaboration.

More Information on Tiffany Young:
Tiffany's life became a double-edged sword upon her move to Korea at age 15. At the same time that she was experiencing huge success with Girls' Generation, garnering 16 No. 1 singles, 1.8 billion YouTube views, 120 awards from various organizations, 15 released albums, sold out world tours, millions of records sold, her dad's irresponsibility in business was taking a huge toll on her. Debt collectors and other lenders would show up at various shows demanding money from her that was borrowed by her father. Luckily she had a solid support system with her bandmates and others on the GG team, which bolstered her and gave her the strength to continue on.
"Life continues to challenge me and inspire me everyday and I think that is just our human experience," the artist says, "As each day, month and year pass, I am more motivated and feel so humbled by the gifts that I have been given both good and bad. I hope the fans feel that as well. I do this all to be an example."
As Tiffany started breaking out into the U.S market in 2018, her personal struggles with her dad's bad choices began to bubble up on social and traditional media once again. Being the brave and powerful young woman that she is, Tiffany decided to face all of the attention about her father head on and chose to use the unfortunate situation as inspiration for her single, "Born Again." Co-written by Tiffany, the lyrics and emotion behind "
Born Again" come straight from these lifelong experiences and struggles; "The lyrics come from deep inside me as inspiration to others and to myself to be authentic and find strength in being vulnerable. I hope that this song conveys my willingness to grow and to also show others that even through sad and heartbreaking times, you can not only survive but thrive."
Tiffany grew up in California, and as a young child felt neglected by her father's inconsistent lifestyle. After her mom passed, Tiffany found true solace in music which then became her passion. "I do music because it saved me, and I hope with what I have done and who I am as a person, I can connect and can heal others to help them find a way to smile." The path that opened up for her because of this love of music led her to Korea alone at 15, join Girls' Generation, who remains as one of the biggest, and most important K-Pop girl groups of all time.
With 10 years of touring, writing, singing and performing, Tiffany came back to the US to launch her solo career. With the huge success of her english singles, "Over my Skin" and "Teach You", Tiffany is on the cutting edge of pop music. With spreads in Rolling Stone, PAPER Magazine and Cosmopolitan, among other media outlets and a turn for H&M, Tiffany enjoyed a lot of success for most of 2018.
