New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Junius Meyvant has confirmed a U.S. run of tour dates on the East Coast this May, bringing his sprawling 6-piece band - complete with a horn section - to Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and Baby's All Right in Brooklyn. The Icelandic artist, who was recently named one of NPR's "Artists to Watch" in 2019, makes his return to the U.S. after an extensive month-long European tour, which wraps up in Berlin later today. He has also been confirmed for the 19th Annual NON-COMMvention in Philadelphia (May 14-17), where he'll share the stage with Morrissey, Phosphorescent and more. Junius played a small string of solo acoustic shows in the US earlier this fall, but these new tour dates in May will mark the first time that US audiences will hear Across the Borders in all its glory, backed by a horn section and full band. Rolling Stone caught a preview of the new music at Junius' Iceland Airwaves performance this fall, naming him one of the Top 10 acts to catch at the festival for his "guaranteed rapturous" live show.
