Katori Walker Releases "Stubborn EP"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The critically acclaimed Los Angeles rapper preceded the project with the heartfelt "Hometown" and recently released "Run." The latter incited unanimous enthusiasm among tastemakers. Hypebeast claimed, "Walker's storytelling ability is off the charts and this sound, in particular, shows off that plus his song-making ability." He also stunned XXL with a powerhouse freestyle.

Fittingly, "Run" ignites the EP as the first track. Right after, "Too Many Foes" threads together hard-hitting rhymes and a West Coast beat. The soulful "Sometimes" [feat. Elijah James] offers a moment of thoughtful reprieve as Katori raps between a hypnotic hook from James. The ride concludes on another intimate, detailed diary entry entitled "Anxiety" as he rattles off his questions, concerns, problems, and pain. Stubborn brings listeners closer to him than ever before. Check out the full tracklisting below.

He just wrapped up a successful tour supporting Vince Staples and will be readying more visuals and music for release soon.

Katori Walker represents the heartbeat of the West Coast in 2019. You'll feel him on all seven tracks of Stubborn.

Rap music can affect more than the culture; it has the power to change the world. Just ask Katori Walker. He picked up a mic with a purpose in 2017. Clocking in at barely 10 minutes, his independent five-song Ignorance EP offered a powerful portrait of gang-related gun violence following the murder of his brother Ormoni. The video "Ormoni" generated 4.2 million views as it surpassed 1 million Spotify streams in addition to being featured in Eminem's "Untouchable" lyric video. It topped Spotify's Most Necessary Playlist for four weeks in a row. Watch him make a difference in hip-hop and the world.
