Akon, The Real Love & Hip Hop Story Behind "Ali Un" By Qn. Everlena
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Qn. Everlena gives Akon a birthday he'll never forget with the release of "Ali Un". Bringing romance back to hip hop, the hot new single is set to be this summer's dance craze.

Love is dead? When Qn. Everlena (Queen) first released the "Ali Un" single she wanted to heal from emotional abuse. Now, She wants to empower others to express love in its many forms leading by example. First written in 2003 as a call to her soulmate, the single title is a play on the recording artist Akon's first given name 'Aliaune'. A 2008 birthday gift, the entitlement is also an unfinished sentence in Spanish to represent the current state of their relationship.

"Everybody loves the song, but is skeptical of our connection because he's a celebrity. His people relocated me to Atlanta. And even warned me he'd likely have a crush on me. So it's infuriating. How am I supposed to feel … when fate keeps crossing our paths? If he was a regular dude that kissed me, smacked me on the behind, gave me massages, or flirted like a teenager... people would say go get your man!" says Queen.

On a news assignment at the 2006 Best of the Best Concert in Miami, Queen met Akon backstage shortly after praying to meet her husband and clarity on the path to success.

"Akon said from day 1 my presence was 'meant to be.' He was unknowingly quoting a line from "Ali Un". We had discovered as youth we lived in the same neighborhood, literally around the corner from each other and had never met. But in the present time I was very unhappy. He told me not to leave him. I quit working for him three days later. I had just got involved with his younger brother. If I wanted things to work out with Bu, I had to leave Akon. And it was the worst decision I ever made in my life. I should've gave us a chance instead. I may never know what could have been. But I can say 'I love you' now… so I will," says Queen.

Queen withheld her feelings for Akon out of fear. A direct result of the hazing she experienced in his absence. She never imagined later in life that the lyrics to "Ali Un" would predict her experience with Akon and Bu. Renewed faith in God, she needs to make things right with him, fight for their purpose, and the right to love period.
"Just because someone is rich, famous, or smiling doesn't mean they feel loved," says Queen.

Akon hasn't had a hit solo single since her exodus in 2009. Founder of WQEB 97.3, she hopes "Ali Un" will provide the right loving inspiration to get her muse back on the charts. "Ali Un" dropped SEP 9 on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, Pandora and more major online music stores. Official video dropping APR 16 (on Akon's birthday), the single is destined to spark this summer's dance craze. Catch her performing the "Ali Un" salsa on the QIKBAK tour in a city near you!
