Electronic Dream-Pop Group Amycanbe Shares 'Grano (Flow Mix By Mark Plati)'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Dream-pop quartet Amycanbe has shared 'Grano ('Flow' mix by Mark Plati)', the third track off their upcoming EP, 'White Slide' which is set for release on the 19th April via Open Productions. The new version of Amycanbe's 2015 track was reimagined by legendary musician, record producer, and songwriter Mark Plati - who is widely acclaimed because of his work with David Bowie as well as Prince, The Cure, Moby, Fleetwood Mac, Natalie Imbruglia and many many more, and whose also mixed Amycanbe's 2011 album, 'Mountain Whales'.

Not only have they been supported by publications such as Music Week and Popmatters, but Amycanbe's music can be heard as part of several film soundtracks such as Acciaio (2012), Savaged (2013), and Strassenkaiser (2016), as well as being featured on television shows like Finding Carter, MTV's Catfish, Web of Lies, and Royal Pains including reality television programs like My Giant Life, How To (Not) Kill Your Husband, Top Chef Stars and High Infidelity. With a busy live performance schedule, Amycanbe has graced stages at Santarcangelo Dei Teatri Festival, Disorder Festival, Eboli, Miami Festival in Milan, and Percuotore La Mente Rimini with a sold-out performance at Petrella Longiano, multiple tours in the UK, most notable at 12 Bar Club in London, Jamm Brixton, and Borderline London where they've also supported notable acts like Skin, Sophia, The Devastations and Morcheeba.

Born and based in Cervia, Italy, Amycanbe was formed by Mattia Mercuriali (bass, guitars, keys) and Marco Trinchillo (drums, keys) in 2002 and became a quartet in 2005 with the addition of Francesca Amati (vocals) and Paolo Gradari. Amycanbe has had some slight lineup changes throughout the years, with Paolo's departure and Mattia "Matta" Dallara (keys) joining in. With 3 albums and several EP's behind their name, their 2011 album Mountain Whales garnered significant success with their hit 'Buffalos' gaining a lot of traction from fans and critics alike.

Inspired by legendary acts across the genre spectrum such as Nina Simone, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Portishead, Aphex Twin, and David Bowie, it is clear that Amycanbe prefers to surround themselves with only the best influences. With dream pop being rooted in elements of alternative and psychedelic rock 'n roll with a blend of pop, it's evident that any fans of The xx, The Naked and Famous, or The Cocteau Twins will enjoy Amycanbe's music as part of their collection.

The original track featured on Amycanbe's 2015 album, Wolf, and has been reworked by the prolific Mark Plati into a crescendoing masterpiece. Unlike the restrained approach of the original, Mark Plati's 'Flow Mix' adds a whole new spectrum of possibilities to the track. Ever building in its size, the listener is treated to a release of euphoria by means of uplifting sweeping chords that drive the track home. A pure indie-rock song dipped in electronic synths and basslines, causes Amycanbe's updated version of 'Grano' to find its place among modern rock, indie, alternative and electronic music fans.

Speaking about Mark Plati's 'Flow' mix of 'Grano', Amycanbe's Marco said, "For our last few records we collaborated with Mark Plati (who has mixed 90% of our songs since 2009); he really has a good ear for music! He has the talent to get the maximum potential from a song, as we envision it in our minds. For example 'Grano' is absolutely perfect; exactly how I imagined it. It has always been our favorite song from the Wolf album, and probably one of his favorites as well. He chose it for a remix (almost a re-work), which we would like to include here in this release - very nice, great fun!"
