Celebrated Pianist & Composer Ludovico Einaudi To Release 'Seven Days Walking: Day Two' (4/12, Decca)
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Ludovico Einaudi, the most streamed classical artist in the world, is gearing up for the digital release of the second episode of 'Seven Days Walking,' his most ambitious collection of compositions yet, on April 12th (Decca). The record will continue to riff on variations of natural themes, ambient reflections on mist and fox tracks through snowy mountains. A new record will be released for seven consecutive months, reinterpreting the tracks, with a physical box encapsulating the entire series to be released in December. 'Seven Days Walking: Day One' (released 3/15) reached number one on the U.K. classical chart and has become the "fastest-streamed classical album of all time." (Rhinegold)

Conceptualized during the winter of 2018 and recorded in Schloss Elmau (Germany) and Air Studios in London (England), the seven-part collection is a sonic conjuring of long walks through the snowy Swiss Alps, where the slow time and lack of color seemingly froze for a wandering Einaudi. Walking the same route daily and photographing what he saw on a Polaroid camera, the renowned Italian pianist noticed the experience of the walk was never quite the same and began work on what would become a seven-part series of "intoxicatingly moving compositions." (Entertainment Focus). The composition of 'Seven Days Walking: Day Two' is choppier than the first, with the whirring violin and piano sparse and hazy as a walk through a twilit mountain.

With over one million streams a day, Ludovico Einaudi has clocked up a staggering two billion streams, making him the biggest streamed classical artist of all time. The Guardian wrote, "If you haven't heard the music of Ludovico Einaudi, then it's probably because you don't know it's by Ludovico Einaudi." His original music has appeared in countless films from Russell Crowe's The Water Diviner and Xavier Dolan's Mommy. In 2016, Greenpeace filmed him performing his "Elegy for the Arctic" while floating in the Arctic Ocean as glaciers melt around him to raise awareness about climate change.

Einaudi will embark on a North American tour at the end of May, performing his new music across the continent this summer. Following over two dozen European dates this spring that have already sold out, the Seven Days Walking Tour will hit select North American cities starting May 31—highlights include Einaudi's first shows at New York City's Carnegie Hall (June 4), Philadelphia's Kimmel Center (June 1), San Francisco's Davies Symphony Hall (June 14), and Los Angeles's Walt Disney Concert Hall (June 16).
