BURBANK, CA. (Warner Bros.) - "Waiting For The Sirens' Call," the long-awaited album by progressive dance-rock pioneers New Order, has been set for release April 26th, 2005, on Warner Bros. Records. Already a smash in the U.K., "Sirens'" sets a new high watermark for one of our generation's most influential bands: "Originators of a sound imitated by a million, younger, better-coiffed dance-rock outfits, New Order may be the most ripped-off electronic act since, uh, Joy Division," said GQ Magazine. Time Magazine put it this way: "They have evolved their trademark mix of bass, synthesizer and pop hooks by embracing and perfecting their own legacy."

In conjunction with the release of their long-awaited new album, New Order will perform a select series of U.S. dates including an appearance at the Coachella Music & Arts Festival, May 1st, 2005, in Indio, California. Additional dates include April 29th at the Henry J. Kaiser Arena in Oakland, California; May 3rd at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois; and May 5th at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

New Order has also made available remixes of the album's debut single "Krafty" exclusively on iTunes. Both "The Glimmers 12" Extended Remix" and "The Glimmers Dub Version" of the song can be heard only on the music site for four weeks beginning March 22nd before being released to all digital music outlets. A third "Krafty" remix, the "Phone Reality Remix," will be available at iTunes beginning April 26th.

The first album of new material since 2001's "Get Ready" and the follow-up to their 2002 boxset "Retro," "Waiting For The Sirens' Call" features the groundbreaking Manchester, U.K., band in the studio with producers Stephen Street (Blur, The Smiths), John Leckie (Pink Floyd, Stone Roses) and Stuart Price (Madonna).

Key tracks include the above-mentioned single "Krafty," "Jetstream" (with vocals by New Order founding member Bernard Sumner and Scissor Sister Ana Matronic), "Morning Night And Day," "I Told You So," "Working Overtime," "Hey Now What You Doing," and the title track.

Over the course of their 28-year career New Order has forever changed the face of pop music. "Love Will Tear Us Apart," which they recorded as Joy Division, has been chosen as one of The Brits 25 best songs ever written while "Blue Monday" is the world's best-selling 12" single of all time.
New Order will be available for a select number of interviews only.
