New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Off the back of selling out his 2020 UK and Ireland arena tour in minutes and being one of the first artists to do so before their debut album has even been released, Lewis Capaldi today unveils his fantastic new track "How Me While You Wait" which is available as an Instant Grat now, and is taken from his eagerly-awaited debut album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent - out May 17 on Virgin EMI/Universal Music.

The new taster offers up a gargantuan and memorable gospel-inspired chorus that is primed and ready to be a fan favourite. Speaking of the track, Lewis comments; "'Hold Me While You Wait' is a song I wrote about the uncertainty of being in a relationship when your partner isn't sure what they want. There's an impending hopelessness to the whole thing, on both sides, when they're not sure whether they want to be in that relationship or not. For me it's one of the most desperate places you can find yourself in."

Before setting light to a fully sold out arena tour next year, Lewis will first embark on his November UK run which sold out in under a minute, including a night at London's O2 Academy Brixton, as well as festival dates and support shows across the summer with Ed Sheeran and The Killers. The high demand for Lewis' shows means there are no tickets available to any of his shows around the world!

Recorded over an 18 month period across London, New York & L.A., Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent is an ironically titled, but charismatically defining album that's lyrically candid and an accurate snapshot into the ups and downs of growing up. Consisting of recordings that capture the charm & feeling of how they were originally written, including hit UK singles "Grace" & "Someone You Loved", Lewis' stunningly identifiable voice, coupled with its turbulent themes of love, loss and heartache, make it a debut record that is unequivocally relatable.

Lewis has taken pairing sad songs with an incredible wit, and a rampant social media following to match, and made it his very own. The results are hilariously beautiful. See full list of UK tour dates online at www.lewiscapaldi.com/.
